Who kidnap Tamil children for training by TMVP? The Pillaiyan group tries to divert the blame from the SLA and his own cadres to LTTE.
Though the government has claimed that the LTTE was totally wiped out from the east, the TMVP continued to state that there were Tiger cadres working in small pockets in the east.

Airstrike targeted SLN Eastern HQ - LTTE
TamilNet, Wednesday, 27 August 2008, 19:52 GMT

Liberation Tigers of Tamileelam (LTTE) on Wednesday claimed that the Air Tigers carried out a successful air strike on the Eastern Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Navy located in the inner harbour of Trincomalee Tuesday at 9:15 p.m. At least 4 SLN sailors were killed and more than 35 wounded in the air strike, which inflicted heavy damage on the SLN base, the Tigers claimed.

The aircrafts safely returned to their base after carrying out their mission, the LTTE said.

The Tigers issued photos of the Air Tiger fighters with LTTE leader Velupillai Pirapaharan.

The attack on the enemy HQ in occupied Prabhapuram and the devastation it caused shows that East can be taken any time by just a few TAFs and a small ground and sea assault.

My posts yesterday and their contents remains the same though you seem to be prematurely rejoicing at the Tamilnets and LTTE's belated thoght of giving belated happy news over the failed attack. the LTTE knew their target was not a success and the tamilnet did even domoted the report out from its headlines and today they have decided to say that the target achieved...!!

well...my content yestreday regarding the Tamilnet tactics remains the same.

if it was the targeted success, tamilnet would have been the first to report it as a big success.

the diaspora wasnt happy to see the diluted news yesterday on Tamilnet and today they decided to give them some happiness with the failed attack being wrapped in a success stroy.

so you feel happy.

Four Sri Lanka navy personnel were killed and more than 20 injured in an air attack launched by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) on a naval base in the eastern town of Trincomalee on Tuesday night, the government confirmed on Wednesday.

The LTTE had managed to damage the naval base.

C Perera of the Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute of International Relations and Strategic Studies said the raid appeared to be an attempt on LTTE s part to boost the sagging morale of its cadres, who have been rapidly losing ground to the armed forces.

Some people make comments as if they knew what was the ltte's target.and on their assumptions they say it is a failure. what a ridiculous conclusions.:)))

tamilnet can report ltte's version only when ltte releases the news officially. it is understandable that it takes time for ltte to collect information regarding how many dead and injured from their sources from trinco and they have reported fully.
they have mentioned what area/building was targeted. it is upto govt to prove that it is not the case by allowing reporters to verify the truth and assess the damage.

I think according to ltte' account 4 dead more than 35 injured. it is understandable govt wont reveal the correct casualties.

They cant just report without confirming it from ground sources whether it is a success or not.
