Why do we have to be ashamed of? Don't forget that this is not a conventional war where enemies fight face to face, but a coward guerrilla war where such things are not unexpected. If at all to be ashamed of it should be the previous governments led by weak stooges of the west who didn't have backbones and let these cowards gather all these weapons without any restriction!

WBahu,
If the camp was warned 3 minutes before the approach I don't think there are 6 deaths. But it doesn't mean that there are no deaths.
There can be deaths. Its quite possible and we'll learn that after some time.
I won't jump my gun here. You can celebrate anyway. When was the last time you had this kind of fun:))))))

Nacca,
MIllions spent on radars AA guns, planes with night flying capabilities and radar. Still they can come and do a bombing.
Doesn't look like something to be proud of. But if there are no deaths I'm happy about it.

Never,..
You must know the rest.

If you compare the progress and life level of north-east Tamils,
before LTTE and after LTTE (or before and after 1983), what do you think..?

Are they happy now..?

(we all agree 83 was an ugly incident).

LNP members,
Tigers exposed our weakness once again regardless the success or failure of the latest TAF stunt.

agree

Tigers had used surprise and the low tech of our air defence system to carry out this bombing, probably adding the sense of security felt by some of the SADF within the camp.

agree
Yes if we go through some common lines we should be ASHAMED. But I'm happy that no one got killed from SLN. A life worths more than PRIDE.

Yes it is a big stunt for TAF, no doubt about that. Giving some headache to military planners in the South and giving some morale boost for the diaspora.

not only diaspora it gives morale boost to tamils in sl and ltte carders as well

But could they achieve a significant victory there? I don't think so.

they are not going to depend on this alone .in future there will be combined attack involving all 3 forces .time time they will do isolated attack using this as well.

.
Will TN politicians be able to convince India to put some extra pressure to GOSL to halt current military operations on the base of HR violations after this?

they may pressure to put forward a devolution package.I am not sure they will compell sl govt to gor for talks. that depend on the battle outcome in vanni and mullai.

The chances seem to be very low. GOSL can use this to shout out to every one telling LTTE has to be wiped out, and it will be done without much objection.

IC wont intervene now but when things change out of hands from SL they may put pressure and govt also wont have other altenative but to go for talks when ground situation changes in favour of ltte

LTTE achieved some short lived victory with this attack, gave some areas to think to the military planners and GOSL. But on the long run what will they achieve with this attack? Will the current military operation stop, no. Will youth stop joining SLDF, I don't think so.

as i said earlier they are not going to depend merely on this. there will be combined ground, air and sea attackes

But this is clearly a sign to SLDF that we can't take anything light in this war. LTTE seems hurt badly, but they are not dead. Tough times will be ahead for both LTTE and SLDF, added TN politicians who try to convince something to Indian government and even Obama.

agree.govt has to come up with a credible solution. they cant keep on say they can give a solution like east which is rejected by tamil long ago.

With LTTE Tamils can walk in the road with self determination,if LTTE is not their no respect for Tamils.
In General opinion, it s gone to worst now. Not just north-east all the part of Sri Lanka s life level is push down to 30 yrs to 40yrs backward.

Are they happy now..?
No one is happy in SL now.

The police who witnessed the Bindunuweewa massacre and were set free also witness attack on UNP parliamentarian in A'pura.
The Anuradhapura Chief Magistrate took the police to task yesterday, for negligence during the attack on the house of UNP Anuradhapura District organiser Dr. Rajah Johnpulle.

Anuradhapura Police Headquarters Inspector (HQI) M.R.P Sarath Prema admitted in court that the police were present at the scene when Dr. Rajah Johnpulle s house was set on fire.

He said that he rushed to the scene and attempted to disperse the rioters, but the tear gas canisters were defective. He said the fire fighting vehicles that arrived ran soon short of water and were unable to douse the fire.
