i know it hurts you the fact that one of your brilliant leaders fell for GOSL's trap (which required only 1-2 cheap thai prostitutes!)and even used him to capture his OWN area!
GOSL played the Discrimination card embedded in the caste system of Tamils. Karuna being a Batti boy took the bait that GOSL played on him. Jaffna Tamils have always assumed an elite position amongst Tamils in a hierrachy that defines the boys from Batti as secondary.
The same goes with Sinhalese. Uda rata, Pahatha rata etc.
Karuna definitely did not fall for any sensual gratification. You think that he could not afford $50.00 to hit a shorty. Not one ,many for $ 50.00.

So you admit that so calleed 'Discrimination' excist in both Tamil and Sinhalese communities?..Eg 'Jaffna Tamil' 'East Tamil...'Uda rata' 'pahatha rata' ..
Whatever the card GOSL played, if Karuna truly beleived the tamil eelam dream he wouldnt have given up right? else the fall of East would've been apparent?

the credit goes to Ranil. that is why vp gave a good lesson for him by prventing him to become president. he(ranil) is dangerous man and because of him only ltte temporarily lost east. |

I dont think that was due to discrimination. the reason is there were lot of allegation against karuna in handling funds. so that eventually lead to the break up and UNP AND Ranil have helped to aggrevate the problem.
