Alright..Lets say this Takaran AF attack is a SET BACK for SLDF.

But did GOSL lose anything valuable, lost any lives, lost any ships,any boats, any cows?

NO!!

Could the TAF do some significant damage to Trinco harbour..

NO!!

On the other hand, did TAF achieved anything?

NO!!

could they finish their so called 'mission' (even after 2 takes!)

NO!!

In summary, GOSL did NOT lose ANYTHING. TAF could not achieve anything..

so..who's the winner?

Setbacks do occur in wars, but for it to be a critical setback, there should be some significant damage caused..dropping few homemade bombs by a Zling dosent look like a 'real setback' ..

This is brilliant!

On a recent transatlantic flight, a plane passes through a severe storm.
The turbulence is awful, and things go from bad to worse when one wing is struck by lightning.

One woman in particular loses it.
Screaming, she stands up in the front of the plane.

For a moment there is silence. Everyone has forgotten their own peril. They all stared, riveted, at the desperate woman in the front of the plane.
Then an Indian man stands up in the rear of the plane.
He is gorgeous: tall, well built, with dark brown hair and brown hazel eyes. He starts to walk slowly up the aisle, unbuttoning his shirt... one button at a time.
No one moves ...
He removes his shirt ...
Muscles ripple across his chest ...
She gasps ...
He whispers ...

'Iron this, and get me something to eat...'

	I think still this is a bad move by LTTE. This only makes SLDF stronger. They did not cause any damage to SLDF. Only thing they achieved was impressing the supporters and cadres. But, at the expense of making SLDF stronger. Unless of course if this was a diversionary act.

The most important massage or data derived from this attack is the military geography of the LTTE controlled areas. This show LTTE still have controlling sufficient areas in and out of Vanni and the seas. Out of Vanni I mens Sinhalese jungles from Jala to Wilpattu. They are able to operate aircrafts to attack most secured bases like Trincomale by using these facilities. This shows LTTE still retain sufficient military geography to defeat the SLA advances in the hostile jungle train of Vanni. I am fore a Federal solution not for loosing my mother land and surrender. That is only possible with LTTE. If LTTE is defeated Others will choose defacto annexation with India. These are the two possible solution available for Tamils. In long run Sinhalese have to shire or loose Sri Lanka.
