The Sri Lanka government engaged in a systematic campaign to intimidate anti-war campaigners, a leading Tamil parliamentarian said.

Leader of the Western Peoples Front (WPF), Mano Ganeshan, made the accusation after he was questioned for nearly six hours by the anti-terrorpolice in Colombo.

Speaking with BBC Sandeshaya after being questioned by Terrorist Investigation Division (TID) he said police focused on whether he
maintained close links with the Tamil Tigers, a charge he categorically denied.

I think Mano Ganeshan and tissa Rajanayagam are another tier of LTTP supporters.

GOSL should check Mano Ganeshan's bank accounts to see from where and how he got money.

A person cannot be questioned for allegedly, properly and openly engaging in activities assisting Terrorists, if the said person sufficiently self-proclaim as a peace activist, anti-war campaigner.

Hmmm...if Tamil talk against the government....then he/she is a 'Kotiya'. If a Sinhalese talk against this government then he/she is a 'Sinhala Kotiya'

Guys! why don't you just grow up and see the real truth !

You should be able to understand the difference between democracy and dictatorship !

So, Mahinda became President by foul play. Their INTENTION to seek help from LTTE to effect a boycott in Tamils voting amounts to committing this crime.

TID should take action against Basil. Where are the JVP ers who go to courts for even a cent from the drain is given to Tamils.

This presidency is suitable for those supporting Rogues,Rowdies and thieves.

Mahinda will pay for his actions at the appropriate time, certainly before his natural demise.

Tamilnet

During the close up to last presidential elections, late Sri Lankan minister Jeyaraj Fernandopulle and present presidential advisor Basil Rajapaksa visited his home requesting him to help them to develop a 'special link' with the LTTE. It was to organize an electoral boycott in the north and eastern provinces during the presidential elections in November 2005. 'They came with such wrong impression,' Mano Ganesan said. But, he rejected such request on the grounds that he had no such 'special relationship' with the LTTE to help Fernandopulle and Basil Rajapaksa for an election boycott in the north and east.
