So far, SLDF's have avoided civilians as much as possible. It will change if the civilians are held captive by the LTTE.

No one was asked. but thanks to LTTP, tamils voluntarily accepted to accept different cultures and different languages. They first generation may talk tamil. but they can not prevent the second generation doing any thing they want and that is happening.
You can see how many tamils spoke different languages in LNP. Can you expect a MIA if tamils lived in their so called homeland.
Any way, Tamils refuse to mingle with Sinhala people only in Sri Lanka


This is the problem, and the Sinhala racists like Anud never understood the nature of Tamils. If you look at the history of Tamils, they always had the universal outlook. Long before the birth of Sinhala language, a Tamil poet sang Yaathum Oore Yavraum Kelir it means in English.

If the Sinhalese didn't force the Sinhala language on Tamil Throat, they would have learned it and mastered the Sinhala language, even better than the Sinhalese. The Sinhalese thought they can forcefully assimilate and Sinhalize the country. The Sinhala insecurity made the Tamils to feel insecure in their own country. That's why the country is in this mess.

Just heard LTTE A/C had dropped a couple of bombs on perhaps Trinco Dockyard!
Extent of damage if any, not known yet, but A/C seems to have returned to Wanni .

We are talking abt putting misery on civilians & not on tigers..

If you take on tigers no issues..but why starve civilians in North ?
