yes!! you will get a reply for your post..and I thought of starting it.
1. Play cricket, if you don't know what Cricket means please watch some old videos (you can easily get those from SLRC in VHS cassettes)
That is a very unfair comment..let us go back as to why you have decided to ask our cricketers to PLAY CRICKET..
Where were you when they came to the finals of the Cricket world cup only to be denied by Gilchrist and his famous golf ball. Where were you when we steam rolled India in the asian Cup finals in pakistan..what were you thinking our boys were doing..Playing Cricket..for all Sri Lankan Cricket lovers they were Playing not only Cricket BUT Professional & Smart cricket..
watching Videos..isn't that what the Indians did..watched Mendis..the more they watched the more they were clueless..I don't think Videos helped..do you still want our boys to watch Videos..
2. When you go to the middle of the pitch to face the leather ball, use the wide wooden stick called BAT to hit the ball.
Have you forgotton the 125 sana smashed at the finals..or have you not watched the way Mahela batted in the last match..How many of us..including myself gave up hopes when we were 56 for 6..That is cricket..the problem with SL cricket supporters (some of them) is we should win all the matches..if we loose two in a row that is not playing cricket..well my friend, winning and losing is part of a game..the series is not yet lost..yes, we lost two matches on the trot..but our boys are strong enough to bounce back..
3. Practice more, showing off at ODEL doesn't count as playing CRICKET.
wow if your famous you get the chance to show off..we all know David Beckham is no longer is a great footballer but did you watch the Beijing Olympics closing ceremony where London showed david as a product..why do you think they did that..to promote the games through a famous past footballer who still gets people following him all over the world..
4. Stop booze and clubbing on the 1st day of a test match while you are representing the COUNTRY.
Oh comeon..playing Cricket is not the only thing these boys do..as long as they don't break any rules set out by the SLCB, why not, they can go clubbing..and they can booze..well look at Malinga..some say he did something wrong and he is being punished..but look at Flintoff..do i have to spell out what he did during the West indies tour..

5. Opening batting doesn't mean an expose of the middle order. You have to stay in the wicket and bat for some time, For a start try to stay 5 overs in an one day match and 10 overs in a test.
Yes..ur right..it was a test run with sanga opening with sana and it seems to be failing now and the selectors will be aware of it and will try to change it..but you can't say our openers do not stay there for long by only looking at this particular tournament and blaming the collapse on the openers..let me ask you..do you know how many runs the Indian openers got in the 3 one day matches so far..to be frank the first two matches were low scoring matches..it is not the openers who lost the matches for us..
BTW sana scored 125 in the finals of the asian cup..he was there for more than 5 overs
6. Opening bowling doesn't mean an opening ceremony for the rivals to celebrate 100. You have to get wickets, at least TRY.
If your talking about Vass, he is struggling to take wickets but he gave away only 33 runs in the 3rd match after coming off an injury..who can replace him at this time..do you have a better bowler..SL is playing with the best possible 11. Kula and Mirando are doing very well..I don't think we need to change..
8. Stop TRYING to write on weekend newspapers. Specially Vaas. You miss one week's practice TRYING to WRITE. Let journalists do their jobs. Sanga is an exceptional case.
very unfair comment..a job writing a column as a Cricketer does not affect the performanace on the field..
How can you forget what vass did all these years in a single match..(1st one day he got the early break through)
9. Stop giving some gangZZta kind of speech even before the series start, specially Mahela. This is not a debate, this is cricket, you can't score with your mouth (if you think you can use your mouth to SCORE, please read number 4 carefully)
Unfortunetly Mahela scored..It is normal the captain will be involved in giving more interviews and comments than any other player..I suppose if you take a close look at Dhoni..Mahela will sound soft..
10. Try to have an one day series with Botswana women's team. You can learn a lot.
That is so Cheap..no comments..
11. 'The idea of playing Sangakkara as an opener is to have some senior batsman get more balls to play' This is a bad strategy, with this STRATEGY other batsmen get to face 299 balls in an one day game. Try something else.
The reason that SL went with the same combination or let us say the same team for the first 3 matches (except injuries) cos we won the Asian Cup finals against India..there is no need to change the team or the batting order..I still feel we should stick to the same opening partnership. the reason is all 3 matches the pitches are favoring the bowlers not the batsman..the only reason may be sanga will take his customary #3 spot cos we have to drop Chamara and replace may be with warnapura who is a regular opener..if not I won't change it
Wish our boys the best of LUCK and let them prove united malli wrong..

Berty anna,,,,,, thanx for the reply put-in in the best manner...
united malli,,,, it is a game,,,, when you play a game you can win, as well as lose....
Aussies are the world best,,,, but they lose toooo
we can critisize the performance in certain match or series,,,,,, but it is not fair to take such a position against the team,,,,, this team might have some - points, meantime, remember that this is the team who won us the Asia cup, and with a good coming back, this team is capable to beat Aussies too......
Wish our boys the best of LUCK and let them prove united malli wrong..
I'm with you,,,,, it is do or die time for the team to save the series,,,,, specially for Sana, Sanga & Dilshan (if he plays today)
to serve the country......
and not to forget friends,,,, current team have just won a historic test series against India,,,,,,, for losing the ODI series, we shouildnt ignore their acheivments in the recent time ......
