I politely disagree with what your saying as Sinhala only sacrificing their lives. There are Tamils and Muslims who are serving the forces too..All sri lankans are sacrificing in different ways.
I was expecting this response from you ..
Well.. my posting looks very descriminative and that wasnt my intention.
Point I want to make is that most christians and muslims are against MR and the war, is simply because of 'lack of business' for them today
These losers do not think about the country but their profits today. I hate that
Yes there are a handful of tamils, christians and muslims who look at Sri Lanka as their own country.. I do have my respect for them. But they are just 1% (or even less may be) |

| Nationalism and more nationalism. Well you guys know how I shed socio-cognitive labels like race easily, so I disagree with nationalists, whether they be Tamil or Sinhalese. I believe in one land, and the only nationality I describe myself is Sri Lankan purely based on the fact that Sri Lanka is the land I come from. Sinhaelse/Tamil means nothing to me. I'm sorry we don't agree in that regard. Grandpa knows this very well. |

Mahawansa.. thanks
If we were to call Sri lanka, then all nationalities must do their share.
In a nutshell, I think this is what I had to say about Sinhala land and Sri Lanka topic |

I understand what exactly you meant when you said that cos I know you well
when I said Tamil..I was also including Karuna and Pillayan..don't you think the Forces are where they are today cos VP made a bunder of splitting with Karuna and Karuna helping MR and its forces..
Just rewind and go back if East was not librearted today the War will be at a different stage..so You have to include Tamils not just as 1%. |

People who grew up overseas would not understand much about the importance of their own culture and other important things.
I was born and brought up in Sri Lanka and I value my country and our Sinhala culture. WE say Sri Lanka is our sinhala - country. but we never used that to harass tamils or to disown them anything there. They thrive with us compared to what they have in TamilNadu.
Tamils should understand and should accept that they don't have their own country and also we Sinhala people did not take any of theirs. They should not feel jealous for that.

CD not all.You should speak of some instead. The same goes with
the Sinhalese too. There are some (but more than the minorities as
Sinhala is Majority) who are doing the same.Making money, looting,
thuggery, white van riders, ransom kidnappers Sinhala tigers and so on.
Try not to focus only only businessmen.Bad judgement and comment.
No hard feelings chum it is the businessmen who are helping the
GOSL paying taxes to to feed th people and supply ammo (even in a
small way) to Sri Lanka.
Sorry pal, I don't agree! |

Those people aren't me.

I'm not talking about the LTTE or about sinhalese harassing Tamils, I'm talking about using right speech and how the use of language can hurt others. Imagine in your next life you were born without a land, put yourself in their shoes. How would you feel if someone said something like that? Ok, I can see that you guys didn't mean it in a discriminative way, all I'm saying is the importance of using right speech because it sure does sound discriminative. Hope you understand. |
