Guys I live in Leicester i work close to this village. Its mainly an English village. It is in all local papers.
The sad thing is it says 'Sri lankan man' not PEEzam man.
LTTE has now become an international criminal organization. Something needs be done to stop Tamil extremism. |

Only in Sri lanka...
Mervyn exercised his legitimate right -Police spokesman says
(Lanka-e-News, 2008 Aug. 07, 7.40 PM) At a media briefing today on national security held at the Media Centre for National Security, police lethargy over the controversial issue involving Minister Mervyn Silva during the inauguration of the Kelaniya flyover bridge last Monday was raised by media personnel .Minister Keheliya Rambukwela and police spokesman SSP Ranjith Gunasekara conducted the briefing. Many crucial matters raised by the media personnel on non-action by the police over the incident drew evasive and indifferent replies to the utter disappointment of everyone, according to our correspondent Ranjith Nimalasiri.
Media men asked why action was not instituted against Minister Mervyn Silva whose anarchic behavior on that day was recorded and televised repeatedly , the police spokesman tried to explain that the Minister did not want himself videoed and he was trying to prevent it but never tried to snatch away the video camera. Investigations were being conducted and a statement will be recorded from the Minister the spokesman said.
The journalists should have been near the bridge which was being declared open instead of standing near Mervyn Silva, the spokesman said trying to hush up the fact that Mervyn blocked the journalists from going to the spot, abusing them. SSP Gunasekara said that Minister Mervyn had the legitimate right to stop anyone videoing him, conveniently ignoring the fact it was a public function, he was public representative and the journalists were invited by both the Highways Ministry and the Information Department.
Journalists in their frenzy asked why journalists were being intimidated in that manner for doing their duty and why they allow the law to kneel down before such ruffian politicians.

Makaso,Nightfox,
Machans this Tigeress is a bit odd case...
First she said..
Check this video,, posted by the BNP member (a british national party) says nothing about the ltte..
Then she posted an article which said..
He claimed he became involved in the fraud after running up a 3,000 debt with a loan shark connected to Sri-Lankan guerrilla warfare group the Tamil Tigers, who had threatened him when he struggled to make payments following the birth of his daughter in 2007.
and now...
another lie to cover up the lie,,, ppl ppl ppl ... why o why,,
i9f so the case why this criminal set the police to catch the ltte who will be visiting him to collect more money?? why wait to get caught then blame others for your own greed??
:D
And I can only hope she wont claim those buggers who got caught in Thailand, India, Indonesia with loads of credit cards also are this Raik fellows relatives or SLA MI! :D |
