when the Mighty Haiti Veerayas have defeated the LTTE so convincingly that it justified spending millions on a Tamasha while millions are starving, less than a year ago?

I do not think at any point VP wanted to go for a peaceful solution and he will not.

Even if this is true lets keep things in perspective folks. LTTE will be successful in isolated or sporadic acts of insurgency ... big picture is the East is gone and the North is shrinking .. soon to be gone too

From 13 to 23...
Launch in 1983 to commemoration in 2008.
Marginal sales growth in the Funeral services business.

Directors of Marketing from the Funeral service organizations in colombo are soon launching Cosmetic Finishings in the product and services delivery. They need the help of Para military Forces and are planning a special, a Sales promotion encouraging more bodies delivered to their funeral homes. They have a High sales target to meet for this year. Wholesale and Retail agents in the Armed Forces of GOSL are complaining of insufficient income and also demanding a higher percentage of agency commission.

Good selling!

Ananda,
There participation in peace talks, where they use to buy time to regroup and attack when they know they are ready.

We had many peace talks in Sri Lanka and also signed many agreements. Do you know that all those agreements were abrogated unilaterally by the Sinhala dominated governments?

Do you also know that so called peaceful solutions such as District Development Councils, N-E Provincial Councils have failed because their executive powers were vested with the heads of governments in Colombo that have always been Sinhalese, no Muslim or Tamil has ever been elected or appointed o the important jobs?
