23 Sri Lanka Army (SLA) soldiers were killed and four wounded in a Claymore ambush at Periyavaddavaan in Tharavai (Thoppikkal) area in Batticaloa district Tuesday evening around 6:30,
The Defense.lk, however, says only one of the dead soldiers was 'brave', in
One brave soldier died of the explosion and three more on the tractor received injuries in the incident
Why aren't other unfortunate soldiers credited with bravery?.
Everyone knows it is not going to be a walk in the park and there will be much more casualties. You do not have to jump up and down for numbers. Some war mongers in here want to see this continue for another 100 years and we know we have to take the hit if we want to finish this ASAP. |

No conscription in SL to force the rich and poor and the rulers and ruled to join the army and fight? Why?
Fifty years have gone by, and 100 or more years will not make any change so long as those sacrificed are not your kin. 'We' rule and 'you' bleed attitude is the main reason for continuing the war. Not a single son/ daughter of the rulers of Sri Lanka has to die in the war, or has he/ she?

Enough rulers from SL and even from India has laid down there life for this dirty war.
You do not have any idea of the ppl who represent SL forces, do you. There are more than enough ones who are in the front line only bcs they love this nation. Can you do that.....Which 'Kin' of you in the frontline....you get so called 'Low Caste' Tamils to fight the war and 'We Tamils' who are high caste fund the bloody terrorism....there are more than enough evidence in LNP history to prove this comment. |

Prostitutes are a one way of relieving Post traumatic stress for
the solders, and there should be regulated legal brothels in SL
to serve this purpose. Hypocritical politicians while patronizing
high class brothels busting the poor man's whorehouse. |
