In the villages, the common well is the sometimes place of gossip and all kinds allegiances and loyalties... People are exposed, people are banished to other wells, some stop bathing and move away when others come... some pee in the water...some drops the soap...etc etc etc.....
they re called Linda Langa Sanagamayas.... or Well Societies...

SLAF jets raid LTTE sea tiger base: 2 boats destroyed- Mullaittivu

Sri Lankan Air Force fighter jets made precision air sorties at an LTTE sea tiger base located in the Nayaru lagoon, Mullaittivu, Wednesday (August 6), as pilots confirmed destroying 2 boats at around 11a.m.

2 Army soldiers killed in LTTE attacks - Periyawadduwan, Kallady
Two army soldiers were killed in two separate incidents took place in Periyawadduwan and Kallady areas yesterday, 5 August.
LTTE terrorists activated a claymore mine targeting an army tractor in general area Periyawadduwan around 6.30 p.m yesterday. Three soldiers were suffered injuries in this incident and one of them succumbed to injuries while being treated at the hospital.
Meanwhile, another army soldier was killed when an LTTE pistol man shot him while he was on route picket duties in general area Kallady around 2.00 p.m yesterday. |
