The natural instinct of every living being whether man, animal is to protect and defend its abode even if it means getting killed in the process. Then why is it that JR Jayawardene did not have the spine to issue a dire warning to India not to step inside our territorial waters, unless they wanted to get annihilated which Prabhakaran did single handed later for different reasons?

No man with any national feeling would ever yield his country to the enemy. He will mobilize all his resources to kill the intruders which in common language means war in defence of the motherland regardless of the consequences. The fact that JR did not do so means that our leadership was not defending our country, something that every nation on earth expects and requires from its leadership.

Further evidence to this has been amply demonstrated when JR Jayawardene was on the point of liquidating the Indian creation Prabhakaran when India ordered JR Jayawardene to stop the attack and JR complied.

A patriot like Gotabhaya would have finished off with the LTTE at that time then and there and we would not be having this problem today jointly created by both Ranil Wickramasinghe and Kumaratunge by not taking any steps against the LTTE fearing the loss of Tamil votes for their parties. By their inaction they were actually helping the LTTE to build up its armoury to liquidate us? Because of this build-up how many thousands of our gallant men died in vain?

Coming back to JR we know that he was complying with all orders from the enemy India when he agreed to the so-called `Indo-Lanka Accord` the ultimate instrument of surrender to our eternal enemy. In stark contrast a simple sailor by the name of Wijemuni attempted to kill Rajiv Gandhi knowing very well that if he succeeded he would have been hanged by JR Jayawardene on the orders of India.

I was not here when the enemy invaded but the media abroad gave full prominence to the arrogance of the invaders who declared that they came to Sri Lanka to stay.

Overnight they became colonial masters. The Indians abroad displayed it to Sri Lankans including me. Referring to the LTTE who have been asked to surrender all arms, Rajiv Gandhi said and I saw it on TV that if they do not comply then they will have to face the Indian army as if it was mightier than the American military machine.

In measured words he added `I hope wisdom will prevail`. Never has any army in the world got such a licking as what the Indian army received at the hands of Prabhakaran when it dawned on him that India trained him and equipped him only to make use of him to get a foothold in our country and not to give Eelam and go away.

The foreign press was very surprised how Prabhakaran defeated the Indian army which is the third largest in the world and they were full of admiration for his achievement. If Prabhakaran did not kick them out by now we would have been a part of India by mere declaration. Please pause for a moment to think about that.

Having kicked them out why on earth did JR Jayawardene enter into an enforced so-called accord designed to humiliate our sovereignty and tear apart the country? The Rajapaksa government should consult the Supreme Court on this matter now before it comes to a showdown later but has it done that? After the LTTE problem has been settled the government should declare null and void the so-called accord because it was forced on us militarily. We should burn it up in public in front of world television. India invaded us at a time when we were completely unprepared and JR Jayaardene could not ask for Chinese help because they considered him to be an American stooge and was very suspicious of him.

Let no traitor talk to us about what has been passed by parliament by a pack of men who would have sold their wives if hey were young or else their daughters if they were old just to enjoy the perks that JR gave them from our money. He already had their undated letters of resignation with him. All this we can get a good lawyer to argue at the Supreme Court.

Having thus got rid of the so-called Indo-Lanka Accord we should then abolish the provincial councils and compensate the employees. There is no question of our accepting the so-called Accord which no self-respecting man will accept except the traitors within the government and outside. The treatment the traitors get is always different from what the enemy gets. With the enemy it boils down to Indian citizens who had no hand in this invasion but with he traitors every one of them has already been noted at least by the JVP if not by individuals in the army as well. You never get on the wrong side of the army.

It was Prabhakaran who compelled us to arm ourselves to the level we are today. If India ever sets its foot here again they will not return and they know that. They will therefore never dare to invade us because in addition to our being able to handle the invader ourselves, Pakistan is just waiting for an opportunity to annex Kashmir and China is not idly standing by either. They will both shift their boundaries to make India very vulnerable. So why is this government so scared about these Indians who were pulverised by Prabhakaran?

We are confident that India will not dare to invade us but we should be prepared for a massive Tamil Nadu invasion after they have separated from India. To meet that threat we should have permanent military establishments all along the coast from Puttalam to Hambantota via Point Pedro. We should make the low-cast Tamils feel that we do not discriminate against them and even provide them with kovils built within the army premises and give free meals to their school children

There are traitors both within the government and outside who want to give devolution in terms of the imposed despicable accord so that the country will be destroyed. If ever the government were to attempt it the Buddhist monks will alert the entire Buddhist population which would be a disaster for the President`s political future. While the monks are at it, the JVP will give their treatment to the traitors in their own style for which they will get the full tacit support of the patriots.

Let me make just one more reference to Wijemuni who attempted to kill Rajiv Gandhi but failed. He joined the Sihala Urumaya but was chucked out. Wijwemuni told me that it was both Champika Ranawaka and Tilak Karunaratne who did it. Another member of the now-HU told me that Wijemuni had ambitions. What ambitions can a man who was prepared to get hanged have?
