Baks,

My wife is out, I will ask her and let you know

I think its karapincha leave, some green chilli, onion, couple of garlic and some salt to taste, with a little bit of black pepper. not sure though.

Pawan,
Katugampola is around Wariyapola right? I can not remember the paddy field business as amma sold what she had a long time ago.. bad move. I remmember we used to have goni full of vee in our storeroom those days. That was her share from each crop from the 'anda goviya' who was cultivating her kumbura. Malli and I were so glad we we could claim that room to put our junk (cricket bats bicycles and other guy stuff ) when the vee stopped arriving after the paddy was sold.

Gonnamba, Maka & all,

Ape gam palathae, kamathae umbaruvan dkkenavata kiyanne gonghanava kiyala. There are special words and songs to address the umbaruvas.

As kids, it was a swell time. Now the tractors have replaced the whole show.
