Pawan / AnuD,
It is not the temperature that kills the plant, it is the lack of humidity in the winter.
If you bag say 50-60% of the leaves/ branches of a karapincha plant with polythene bags for the winter it will survive inside. My BIL has managed to keep one alive for almost 5 years now. It grows during the summer and gets trimmed to go inside in wraps in the fall.
It works. |

Once, my white neighbour was rebellious guy and he grew pot and boasted about it too.
RCMP came and took everything away, nothing happened. Edited By - AnuD - 28 Jul 2008 19:47:22 GMT |

| Mung beans (Mung ata) is also good for breakfast.I think the Sri lankan variety of corn flakes is called 'Habala pethi' it tastes really good with milk and a few ml of coconut milk. |

Pawan,
can get heal bath in 1 or 2 hours if you put it in the freezer.
'Hili bath is not frozen or cold rice. it is bit 'crispy' rice formed as an adjacent layer to the pot during cooking. Usually, it is not formed in aluminum pots, but in conventional 'mud' pots, if you bit over cook. It is something to do with the 'thermal distribution' and 'stickiness of the pot wall', I guess. |

Sri lankan abusiness are not imaginative, inventive and do not try to commercialize what they have.
Instead, they always import. but, China commercialize everything they have.
I mean some one should have commercialized HABALA-PETHI.
