offensive defence stiil continues in a surprise attack by ltte on sla positions in north of janakapura 7 sla were killed and 5 injured and according to bloomberg ltte carried out 6 roadside bombattacks on sunday but neither side have come up with casualty reports.
sla can show 36 ltte bodies but on the whole of last 3 days ltte have killed more than 100 sla and injured more than 500

Does it show LTTE is weakened
Strength of an army or a militia is measured pretty much like the way you measure density. As LTTE is giving up ground to the SLDF by retreating they in turn become stronger as they have lesser land area to worry about.
SLA would now try to trap pockets of LTTE fighters and take them out as they get closer to where they are headed.
SLDF's will face the stiffest resistance in the coming days and months ahead but LTTE is on the back foot and what is at stake are the lives of innocent tamil civilians. |

You know what MR said there , to a soldier when he asked whether the prez is going to stop the war for any reason?
MR shown his foot and said 'I will stop war when prabakaran is right here' . wow, I was shocked to see how he said that. no fear , no doubts , but a lot of confidence and bravary.
and he also said ' it was only me who can stop this war, and I have no reason to do so'.
Too big talk for a singlecelled eh ?

I have not heard of this crisis at the Anuradhapura hospital either. I have a classmate of mine there who is a doctor and I got an email from him early this morning but there was absolutely nothing about Anuradhapura being extra busy with sla injuries.
