I think in your case your wrong..actually you should not be allowed to leave the country without a 6 month validity of your PP. It does not matter whether your there for 48 hours or 24 hours..
In my case i don't need a passport to enter Hong Kong..when I was leaving my PP is still valid..the mistake , if at all a mistake is done by the Sri lankan Embassy in beijing when i sent my PP for renewal. That is the difference. when i showed my ID card it was thrown back at me..well I was not bothered and told him ok..let me go back and i will see you tomorrow..i went out and got my PP in a day and surprisingly new PP can be used for 15 years..
It does not make any sense when he said i have to call police..I understand there are fake PP etc but that was stupid..

U need minumum 6 months here.....:-)
not only in Singapore but to enter any country..Normally the airlines will check it when you leave the country..and if your found with less than 6 months..you will be sent back in the same flight...so consider to be very lucky..if you had gone into SG.. |
