Police yet to identify attackers of `Kudunuwan`

Colombo Additional Magistrate Kumarie Abeyratne yesterday asked the Cinnamon Gardens Police whether any person identified from the TV footage had been arrested in connection with the attack on Nuwan Udaya Gunatileke, an accomplice of Minister Mervin Silva, for assaulting the News Director T. M. Chandrasekera of the Rupavahini Corporation.
The Magistrate`s query followed a submission by Attorney-at-Law Anton Senanayake, appearing for suspect Nuwan Udaya Gunatileke, alleging that his client was assaulted in the presence of the police.
Police said that investigations into the incident were not yet completed.

From Top to Bottom all most everyone in the public sector is corrupt. & thats the bottomline... sorry to state i am fed up with these corrupt public servants.

Sri Lankan political system is exactly what Indian system is.
40 - 45% of the Indian Lok Sabha politicians are Criminals or accused of criminal activities.
Sri Lankan Parliament is also like that.
Now to add to that, PC members also have begun that.
Hali ELa BAnk robbery is connected to a PC member.
WE here many similar thefts from others too. |
