If your uncle was killed by his friends it may be some personal issue . My grand father was also killed by his friends . I dont go around hating a whole race .
YEH. 5000 TAMIL WERE KILLED due to personal problem with neighbours/ friends in 1983.

My point here was Tamuils cultural and emotional attachment to south India.
Hindi music is loved loved by people all around India.
I met some people from the country called Turkministan who preferred Hindi songs.
I think all those countries ending with STHANS were formeRLy parts of Great MAHABHAratha. |

I totally agree, we Tamils are not Sri Lankans, even the word 'Sri Lanka' is anathema to the Tamils and they fought against it.
As far as the Tamils are concerned, 'Sri Lanka' is the part of the country where the majority Sinhalese live. But each and every Tamil loves Tamil Eelam, the North & Eastern parts of the island of Eelam. I think the Sinhalese still don't understand the extent of Tamil's love of the North - East.
Trust me, the Tamils will defend their home land at any cost, even if they have to sacrifice all their children they will do it. And you have been seeing that for past 30 years and they will continue to defend their home land as long as it takes.
The Sri Lankan Tamil culture is different and unique from the Tamil Nadu's traditions and culture. The history and climate of Sri Lanka have shaped the Sri Lankan Tamil culture.

he did not give up arms. he wants land , police and finance to EP.
Since he was trained by ltte he knows how deal with sinhalese that is why he did not lay down arms. if need arise he will use it against sinhala gov.
