Legend missing in Thiruva'l'luvar statue in London
TamilNet, Thursday, 24 July 2008, 17:02 GMT

The prestigious School of Oriental and African Studies of the University of London displays a statue of the ancient Tamil poet and philosopher Thiruva'l'luvar in its premises. The plaque noting him a Tamil scholar and the palm-leave book in his left hand are missing for some time.

I do not know if he is with CR1 or CR2. I have not met him in 16 -17 years. I did meet his Elder brother last month who is Group Captain Vijitha Gunarathna (SLAF) who was on a training course in the US. He only told me that Pankaja is with the Army commandos. He joined the army in 1990 or maybe a little before that. He is from Maliyadeva Kurunegala.

fighting in south of mallaavi still continues /ltte using a mix of charles anthony and regular cadres


ltte has given as good as it got defencenet says so far 10 sla have been killed including 2 officers inthat battle .
