Information and Media Minister Anura Priyadharshana Yapa said there is no truth in allegations that the Government has stopped air raids on Tiger facilities. These raids by the Sri Lanka Air Force are continuing, the Minister told the Cabinet news briefing. Identified Tiger bases are subjected to these attacks, he added. The Air Force has carried out a number of attacks yesterday.
If we count this aerial bombing, the total would be more than the Tamil population in SL. Yes we believe you sir. All this time you have given us spot on news. |

Citing security concerns, Bollywood superstar, Shahrukh Khan has declined an invitation by President Mahinda Rajapaksa to take part in a cultural event organized for the entertainment of regional leaders who are attending the 15th SAARC summit in Colombo, said Temple Trees sources. The entertainment committee organizers have even sought the assistance of the Indian High Commission to persuade Mr. Khan to attend the event.
