hey when pushed into corner staring down a barrel many academics will have litte choice but to think like that :)
and also realistically the longer the war continues the smaller the tamil population will get in war torn areas... this is a fact even now... so don't get ya hopes up so much without looking at the bigger picture |

with the money power diaspora has , they are buying properties in colombo and suburbs. there are apartments built all over in wellawatte , bamba, dehiwela, colpity . most of them were/are acquired by tamils .(col 1 to 15), wattala and so on.
in addition to autonomy tamils get in north and east tamils will dominate in capital city as well.

yes. just having property in south does not mean we have all fundemental rights. we have to get the implementation of tamil as official language in south.we have to get adequate amount of govt jobs.
there are hidden agenda by sinhalese to prevent tamils buying properties in south. sinhalese are very much upset about tamil people buying properties in the capital city .one way of threatening tamils living in south is through whit van ride.harrasing tamil in the night at their home also part of this strategy. by doing this sinhalese want to discourage tamil investing in south.
tamils did not put all their money in one basket. diaspora has invested for eelam in north and east as well as invested in properties in south.this is known as risk diversification.:)))

people like you claim that Tamils discriminate againt Sinhalese to go to Jaffna and Batti uni. Is that an excuse to start a war and kill 3000 in a week in July 1983
