A STRATEGIC military planning and a subsequent onslaught on the enemy, conducted in the area north of VANNAKULAM, about 3 km south of MALLAVI town centre last evening (24), just hours after a major LTTE controlled area was captured, earlier on the same day, unleashed a striking attack on a regrouped batch of Tiger terrorists.
The unexpected netting and beating them during the clash that continued till late evening caused heavy damages to the enemy in terms of their lives and weaponry.
By Friday (25) morning, troops have collected twenty-two dead bodies of Tiger terrorists, including the corpses of LTTE regional leaders, PALLAVAN and ANBU of the so-called Charles Anthony Brigade. Those two terrorists were ranked as Lieutenant Colonel and Major in the terrorist organization.
Looks like terrorists are running out of Lt Cols
