In the run up to PC elections the government propaganda machine is working overtime. Those who can yarn good news like the above are paid good money. They can opt for ministerial posts in the PCs, if the junta wins.

But, this time, with national hero JP in the NCP and national idol (silver screen hero) Ranjan in the Sabaragamuwa, UNP is going to sweep those polls cleanly
