Well could be...my calculation is that the ltte counter offensive is being planned as the forces take mankulam...

the ltte will have to launch the do or die attack as the all important junction falls...

if the forces advance afurther 10km...not even god can save them from there onwords...

forces had some intel on the ltte leaders movments...io repeat...its not in our interest to target VP at all...

the top brass should protect the ltte leadership at anycost at this jucture...

Troops have also recovered 7 LTTE bodies, 5 x T-56 assault riffles, 01 x 120 mm heavy mortar gun, 02 x 81 mm mortar guns and few other warlike items including over 100 x mortar rounds during initial search operation conducted in the area.

Also, troops have found a tractor, 2 x motor bikes, 4 x I-com sets and a binocular in the search operations, our Wanni correspondent said adding that ground troops have also observed scattered bodies of terrorists killed, lying ahead of the established defences.

LTTE will not hit now....as they are well cornered.. birds can drop few eggs down there throat's very easily.

but vigil yes .....

DO you think they will surrender tamely ?

Over 09 journalists were killed and many others abducted and assaulted since late 2005.

Mr. Gladstone said he is reluctant to comment on Sri Lanka's current human rights violations as he is not updated on the situation.

I sincerely hope the situation is not worse than in Zimbabwe. It wouldn't however happen during Mr. Premadasa's government
