It's good that we're preparing for the counter. It's not a question of IF but WHEN and WHERE.That seems to be the reason for this new purchase.
It is always nice to know where the LTTE big guns are. If these WLR's work, they can locate artillery guns as far as 40kms out..

yeah, from what I gather, these are capable of intercepting incoming projectiles. Not sure about this though.
One thing they can definitely do is locate the source of the projectiles and bring down a artillery barrage onto the source within seconds. Imagine that.
From now on, the only rain these LZTP rats will see is STEEL RAIN! |

I don't think it can intercept anything as it is based on passive radar.. But it can surely pinpoint where the guns and a kfir or a Mig can take care of it in no time.
If the WLR works for our guys, all the zHTTP big guns are going to become FIRE once and FORGET weapons.. literally :) |

yeah yeah, i just re-read defWire's comment and you're right. It can only locate the source, not the projectiles as well. It's unlikely the SLA will wait for the SLAF to bomb the source (it'll take too long). The SLA is more likely to send an artillery barrage because it'll take a few seconds to locate the source and a few minutes to calculate the trajectory and send out the good ol' Steel. |

| For information folks,newly acquired UAV's are constantly in the air looking for targets with co-ordination from ground intelligence and SLAF squadrons are always on standby to hit such targets.That is the reason SLAF has been very successful in their missions lately...:-) |

zHTTP will try and immediately move their guns as much as possible after getting a couple of shots out. SLA artillery will be the best solution with a SLAF backup to do a mop up after the barrage on a target.
BUT I bet these zHTTP @#$@#$ers will fire their guns from schools and hospitals and village squares... |
