100 Year War and Tamil Cause

The war between the state of Sri Lanka, dominated by Sinhalese, and the de facto state of Tamil Eelam has gone on for 30 years. With no sign of end to it, some Tamils are contemplating the possibility that the war will continue for anther 100 years.
Classified research by Tamil academics reveals some interesting facts:
- In 100 years, the demographics of the island will change dramatically. Especially the Muslim population, along with Up Country Tamils, could become a majority
- The influence of Tamil-speaking Muslims could shift the politics in favor of an expanded Tamil Eelam, which could include some parts of Badulla, Nuwara Eliya, and Polonnaruwa districts, along with the current Tamil Eelam
- The Diaspora Tamils, domicile in Canada, Europe, Australia, South Africa etc, would achieve significant political and economic power that would be 5 times the per capita GDP of the state of Sri Lanka, by year 2100.
- The world Tamil population aspiring for an independent Tamil nation would be in the range of 160 million.
- The countries such as, Canada, Norway, England, and Australia will have powerful Tamil politicians that would sway opinions in UN, EU, World Bank, and IMF.
- The prospects that an independent Tamil nation in South Asia would be, on economic parity, in par with OECD countries is very high.
It is clear that these prospects play a major role in any negotiation with the state of Sri Lanka. Both Tamils and Sinhalese must be aware of these realities while the 30 year war continues with suffering for both sides.

you don't think at all, go to Tamil nut,read how many people displaced last few weeks, these are people running away from the battle fronts as SLA march to LTTE gangland,this is end of eelam,
by 2100 India is the a major super power, they don't like a nxt door Tamil home land, if by 2100 a separate Tamil land will drag Tamil nadu to same side, that will destabilised Indian C.Govt. historical facts, LTTE attitude towards India, contributions such as Rajive Gandhi killing will do the rest of the job.
Indian gov. take GOSL side to avoid eelam becasue they know Tamil nadu going to break if eelam won.
if you think Muslims are part of eelam can you remind single instant it happen in past ? except forced removing of Jaffna and some of east muslims by LTTE, now east and jaffna displaced Muslim have there own party against LTTE,(I don't think you know that.)

'truenfare' has got it substantially correct
Decisive factor will be India, which will not see 'any good' arising from a 'Tamil' dominated Lanka. (They'd only see the 'threat' of Tamil Nadu breaking away from the Indian Union). |

Yes the diaspora will grow and the world Tamil population will grow, but in 100 years time who would be left in Wanni to fight, there won't be any young tamils left to fight unless the one's born in the west do so. I doubt that very much, unless they are lured by the promise of 100 virgins after their deaths. |

| By 2100 Sinhala diaspora in US, UK, Canada, and Australia will be grown significanly. Their economic and political power will also grow significantly. By 2100 probably China will be the solo super power which does not have tamil diaspora. By 2100 probably parts of north would be underwater because of sea rise. I do not know weather so called academics consider those options. Planning for 100 years ahead is simply over doing things. Hitler planned for thousand year empior. Look what happened. |

This is good.. Praba and the family should move to Canada and seek a separate province. Good on Canada for encouraging LTTE on Canadian soil. |
