Why is it that none of the Tamils in lnp talk about the Sinhalese who saved them, and only talks about the mob which looted...?

i am saying that there are many sinhalese who saved their tamil neighbours and friends. In my opinions this was a planned attack by unp and their thugs and joined by some other non law abiding uneducated and jobless sinhalese.and it is wrong to say that this attack was because of 13 army being killd by ltte. that incident was used to justify riots. but the plan to attack tamils was prepared well before the jaffna incident. even incident in jaffna did not take place the attack on tamill would still be ececuted on a different occasion citing some other reasons.

SF:

then their story of sinhalese being killers in the west would not hold water...

This is part of what I saw in a Canadian paper:

Twenty-five years ago this week, as many as 1,000 Sri Lankan Tamils were killed in what came to be known as the Black July riots. Majority Sinhalese nationalists, including Buddhist monks, went door-to-door in Sri Lankan cities looking for Tamils

'including Buddhist monks' part is very interesting...!

MahaDev,
Any thoughts of dropping in at the SSC? I was thinking of going for an hour or so. Possibly tomorrow.

Wishful thinking. But when I went for the warmup game I saw 4 or 5 nice looking Indian girls working obviously for media. One of them reported from the ground yesterday on NDTV.

Rasak,
Even one-day matches don't attract a fullhouse these days.
