I would think about Black july if it was pure racism.
Ethnic riots, is just anger ex[pressed because of ethnic tensions.
There have been planned massacres in western countries where Tamil diaspora are living today. Even today, from time to time we here horrible killings simply because of racism.
In the case of Sri Lanka, in the case if 1983, Tamils provoked it and after that tamils continue to kill sinhalas since that day until now.
Therefore, I don't think we should feel guilty and we should let tamils make a big deal out of it. |

Addressing the parliament today R. Sampanthan said that 147 people have gone missing of whom 38 returned and another 15 were found to have been kept under detention since June 1.

Are you still blinded by racism or just stupid? LTTE were a handful of rebels in 1983 and even if you accept the fact that they set off a mine against state military, what did the Tamils in general have to do with it? |

We saw who teamed up an carried the electoral lists and went searching home by home. They were confronted by my father and his friends(our neighbors) when thugs came to our street. They did not allow any Tamil family to be harmed in our street and those Tamil neighbors of ours are still living there and still friends(more like family members). |
