EVEN Ltte or international communisties ask or seek for any such ceasefire, the military gouvernment and army general will not accept because this war bring a confortable life to certain section of the administration and arm forces while the poor population is suffering for a long time or will havd to suffer.
It is not UNP or SLFP but it is JVP and the three arm forces who are running this country and would like to continue this war.
Let sinhalese poor people take a common transport and have a look on all luxary houses and vilas built all along the sea sides for their families and tourists and they will son understand why this war has been going on without any end and who are the real owners of all these tourists and privat bungalows( army generals and ministers).
So it is tru tht LTTE did a biggestg mistake by allowing the present extremist military gouvernment but if UNP had been voted , the situation would be the same because all three arm forces are belonged to JVP.
So we can't blame LTTE or Tamils.
If Sri Lanka is being destroyed on all fields of developpement , we should blame only sinhalese people and not Tamils. |

The locals prefer football, probably because they don't have the patience to sit through the 8 hours or not smart enough (as of now) to grasp the nuances of the game.
Football is taking the world by storm. The English Premier League is popular the world over. In SL too with the introduction of cable/Sat TV it is gaining popularity. Cricket too has potential to reach a wider audience with the advent of T20, where viewers can be oblivious to the finer points of the game. Only pure entertainment. Did you watch IPL? |
