Yes, its sheer stupidity having such a high profile series in the middle of monsoons in the wet zone.

They should've played this match in Dambulla.

Again politics in cricket!!

What a bright idea. Have the matches in Saudi and I can see all of them!!

Mrs Hajara,
If you keep insisting on the Mr, then I will have to return the favour. For someone so technologically advanced, I don't know why you are so formal...lol.

Why has the Middle East taken a back seat in hosting matches now? There is nothing played in Sharjah now is there?

Rasak/XF,

Its not raining beyond Kurunegala. Dambulla should've been the ideal venue. It'll be another washout in Galle too.

Lets hope even at this stage better judgment will prevail ( what a hope!) and they will shift the 2nd test match to Dambulla, since its such a high profile series.

its quite strange whats happening thesedays, last week i went to kandy (to the uni)
and in the morning it was raining cats and dogs in colombo, when i reached kandy around noon, not a single drop of water was there..
it was used to be otherway around!

Sinthaka,
If this match is a total washout, something may happen. There may be pressure from various quarters to shift the Galle match. Must keep fingers crossed. This was a much looked forward to series. Such a shame!!

Damned,

No doubt Sumathipala was a shady character, but that doesn't mean we should not use Dambulla. Asgiriya is even a worse choice than Colombo, bacause its even wetter!

Best stadium at this period of year is Dambulla!
