Is he reqdy to remove all sinhalese immigrants from all tamils areas specially in Trincomalee where all these sinhalese peo le were brought by arm forces to occupy lands belong to tamils?

Will mr.Sarath be ready disarm himself and declare peace with Tamils?

Are sinhalese ready to live with Tamils by removing all their arm forces from all Tamil areas?

Sidath as new Manager!

Speculation was rife last evening of the probability of appointing Sidath Wettimuny as the Manager of the Sri Lanka cricket team. Wettimuny who relinquished his post of President of the Players Association only a few days ago would in such event fill in the void created by the refusal of the Minister of Sports to ratify the appointment of Hashan Tillekeratne to the said post. The explanation given by the Minister on Tillekeratne s involvement with politics, when applied retorically to the office of the interim head of the establishment, in Arjuna Ranatunge a member of Parliament himself leaves the consideration bordering on hypocricy.

Nevertheless Tillekeratne still remains in the picture with discussions progressing with the Minister on the basis of Tillekeratne doing a Voluntary job and an amicable settlement to the issue looked positive.

Wettimuny a respected figure not only in the local cricketing circles but also globally should in the eventuality find himself in a situation where there would be a conflict of interest by virtue of him being a member of the sports governing interim body. The chaotic plight of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) falling under the purview of the trade union stalwart and now Minister of Sports Gamini Lokuge looks as if is heading towards more troubled waters, having in mind the cancellation of the TAJ TV deal. However reliable sources revealed that a claim by TAJ would encompass minimal financial lossess due to the fact of prospective lossess read with the other applicable clauses of the agreement favouring SLC.

Also doing rounds at the cricket headquarters last evening was the possibility of the infamous B.H. Perera being appointed Manager of the Sri Lankan Cricket team.

This is a very good occasion for Sri lanka to seize peace and should not reject totally like mad dogs

We should understand ( as said by UNP ) that the war can not be last reply for sri Lanka and will only destroy the people and the remaining economy of this island.

Sinhalese leaders led by JVP should understand that they can not solve this problem by defeating Mr.Prabhakaran only but they have to defeat the whole Tamil population of this world whihc is impossible for sinhalese people of 17 millions.

We need peace.
