One soldier was killed and five more injured in the clashes erupted in those areas. Troops recovered one T-56 weapon and one Icom radio set belonging to terrorists from CHEDDAPIDDIKULAM and north of NAVVI areas.

In the meantime, troops attacked one LTTE bunker complex in PALAMODDAI

Air intelligence confirms 22 LTTE suicide bombers killed in air raid - Mullaittiuvu

Air Force spokesman Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara speaking to defence.lk said that 22 LTTE suicide bombers (Black Tigers ) were killed in the air raid carried out this morning (July 22) at the Uddayarkattukulam LTTE camp.

Citing Air Force intelligence sources , he said that the group of the slain LTTE cadres had been engaged in a rehearsal of a major suicide operation at the time of the air raid.

Air Force fighter jets launched an air strike targeting pre identified LTTE special operation training facility located Northeast of Uddayarkattukulam in the Mullaittiuvu district around 8.15a.m.

The Air Force sources said, targeted camp was providing training for LTTE cadres in special operations and in leadership for the terror leaders. Activities in the terror camp had a significant increase recently, the sources added.

I think you are overlaying this with a situation that would've arisen with a UNP Government...they would have sunk even the most bitter pill to the masses..


i am not saying that as a certainty. i dont reject that possibility. CBK was also in the similar position. later she was the one invited Norway for mediation.

govt will go for talks with ltte even when ltte rejects the condition of laying down arms. THERE may be other condition ltte may agree.

CBK was one of the worst presidents this country was cursed to have.... you can't run a country like SL with a set of Ovaries... you need balls of steel to do that... CBK ran the country depending on her menstrual cycle. She would have thought of unconditional peace talks during a serious PMS episode.

hence why most religions ban women from partaking in politics or life and death decision making!


I dont think she took that decision on her own. she must have got advices from the party.

GOSL should not change it current stand for talks with LTTE terrorists. GOSL must learn lessons from the past. Was LTTE had pure intentions in last peace talks? LTTE supporting goons here will tell.. YES they are...' but we know the truth..
