this ceasefire is only for 10 days and in 2001 ltte declareda ceasefire sla attacked and lost 500 killed and 1000 injured at muhamalai

and also at that time sla thought that ltte was weak

who is the weaker could not defeat ltte with all the weapons and support you got from every country and you say sla will do that and this .
after 10 days battle can be joined

What a joke!

We wish to express the desperation and misery of the Tamil people we claim to represent. As a sign of this goodwill and utter desperation to gain some breathing space, our movement is glad to inform that it will observe a unilateral ceasefire that is to sho you we are keen to devoid military actions during the period of the SAARC conference from 26th July to 4th August and give you the illusion of our cooperation for the success of the conference. At the same time if the occupying Sinhala forces, disrespecting our attempt to re-group and re-arm our remaining starving slave troops or as we tell you a goodwill gesture of our people and our nation that we dream we have , it the Sri lankan sovereign national army carry out any offensives, our movement will be forced to take defensive actions as we are determined to protect out world title Most Ruthless Terrorist Outfit in the world.

Nacho,

and if SLA continues without a ceasefire during LTTE bogus ceasefire, you can kick your own sorry butt then..

Pathetic ! Why dont you read in between the lines . there wont be offensive ones but that does not mean there wont be defensive ones n the north.

This is good gesture towards Manmohan & he has to only worry abt singlecelled sailors now.

Mate, for me, and for millions of Sri Lankans who suffered at the hands of the LTTE for 30 yrs, there is no goodwill by the LTTE..

If your really read what I wrote you should have understood that this was not a goodwill gesture for you or your government but neighboring countries and specially India.

We say the same about GOSL and the suffering caused by their actions. So now you understand why majority Tamils still support the cause even if they might not agree with LTTE a times.

LTTE the most barbaric Terror group in SAARC region make concessions for Colombo Summit.

Though they are still capable of making destruction in Major cities,LTTE may be trying there best to hold Killinochchi and Mullaittivu from advancing troops.

coming weeks going to be very important for MR government and existence of LTTE.

I cant help you when the LTTE itself is telling you (the die hard beliver that LTTE has grown stronger from mavil aru) we are weak..

Doesn't that show the will of the Tamil population irrespective of the strength of the LTTE. If your smart you will know that is not a good thing because you might be able to destroy and defeat an army but not the will of the people.

If they want to lick Indians all they had to do was to say 'We will not attack anything related to SAARC summit or disrupt it', why did they declared a ceasefire?

DVLADV,
This is only for a period of one week and what it means is that there wont be any offensive actions in the south.

LTTE statement doesn't say anything about 'IN SOUTH'.

At the same time if the occupying Sinhala forces, disrespecting our goodwill gesture of our people and our nation, carry out any offensives, our movement will be forced to take defensive actions.

wasn't that what they have been doing for last 2years(defensive actions)? What's new in this?

ltte has saved its elite units and weapons /sla will never win this war .

this is an indian road map/chief minister karuanidhi exerting subtle pressure on central govt eg sethesamudram
to continue says new delhi
