TN Tamils are waiting till Jaffna is getting that.
In fact, Sri Lankans are killing each other, and Indians are evaluating the result for Indian case.

These peace loving Buddhists are hell bent on killing their own and the Tamils rather than channeling their energies in finding a political proposal.
Unfortunately, without been a Buddhist, you cant evaluate them. People always blame the mass for some extremist works of few people.
In 1983, IF ALL Buddhists went on a rampage of Tamils, we could have 10,000s of dead Tamils in Colombo.

Until we stop thinking in racial & religious lines Sri Lanka will not have peace.
maximum devolution of power to the tamil majority region will bring peace and all tamil will think as Sri lankans. |

This I wrote the other day.
Sri Lanka is a country that has a long shared history of Sinhalese/Tamils. Both Sinhalese& Tamil kings ruled Sri Lanka without discriminating the other community. SWRD Bandaranayake, promoted Sinhalese at the expense of Tamils. A far thinking leader would have promoted both Sinhalese & Tamil interests without discriminating the other.
We all must think as Sri Lankans. Criteria for devolution should be based on finding the most economical way to develop Sri Lanka. It should not be a compromise for those who want a separate state. To have long lasting peace we all should stop thinking in racial and religious lines.
It does not matter whether the leader is Sinhalese or Tamils. A capable intelligent Tamil leader is more beneficial to Sinhalese than a useless Sinhalese leader. Similarly, a capable intelligent Sinhalese leader is more beneficial to Tamils than a useless Tamil leader. |

There is nothing more than 13th Amendment.
