I read that only 20 KM from illupakaduwai to poonaryn.

this happened 17 kM north of illupakaduwai.

13 boats damaged - tamilnut.

SLAF, SLN attack Naachchikkudaa, 8 civilians wounded
TamilNet, Sunday, 20 July 2008, 15:14 GMT

Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) Kfir fighters, helicopter gunships and Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) gunboats jointly attacked a coastal village, Naachchikkudaa, 17 km north of Iluppaikkadavai Sunday evening causing injuries to 8 civilians, according to initial reports from the area. Fishing huts, residences along the coast stretch and at least 13 fishing boats were damaged in the attack.

Five of the eight wounded civilians were identified as P. Sivakamy, Chiththiravel, Thamilini, Packyaraj and Yogarajah.

The joint attack by the SLN and the SLAF targeted Anpu-puram civilian settlement in Naachchikkudaa between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m., causing civilians to flee the areas during the time of the attack.

BBC saying East is having shadow war now and we expect very soon it will get converted to live war....only thing is Lankan tax payers billions of rupees spent on nagena hira navodaya jayagosha cerimonies year ago eating Kiribath and Lunumiris at torington avenue now in drains...the couple of election dramas (municipal / provincial)in which some east thambiyas and Pillayan made millions also now in drains..........and sinhalayas are now not having money to eat.....paw aney

Sri Lanka Navy Coastal Patrol Craft (CPC) and Air Force Kafir fighter have jets mounted a joint raid at a group of 8 LTTE small boats detected in the South of Nachchikudha area this evening (July 20).

BBC also said that they threw 4 Tamil terrorists in to the lockup today for life for murder...sin aney...relatives of yours?

But we thought that the LTTE will liberate the East now ....
