Army Commander Lt.Gen. Sarath Fonseka has told the Malwatte and Asgiriya Mahanayakes that they had already ended two thirds of operations to liberate the country from the terrorists. He pointed out that the necessary environment will be created to enthrone democracy after liberating the other areas.
The Army Commander after paying homage to the Sacred Tooth Relics at the Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy, called on the Malwatte and Asgiriya Mahanayakes.
He called on the Malwatte Mahanayake the Most Ven. Thibbatuwawe Sri Sumangala Thera at the Malwatte Vihare and had a brief discussion. The Army Commander clarified to the prelate the serious defeats the LTTE had already suffered and the future programme of the forces. The prelate expressed his gratitude to the Army Chief for working with a feeling towards the country. The era in which military operations were launched restricting to glass rooms in Colombo has ended. The Malwatte Mahanayake said the nations respects are with the Army Commander for the achievements.
Thereafter, he paid a courtesy call on the Asgiriya Mahanayake the Most Ven. Udugama Sri Buddharakitha thera. Expressing his views, the Asgiriya prelate said certain leaders of the South who are averse to the operations unleashed against the LTTE, are obstructing the progress with the purpose of achieving narrow political gains. The Asgiriya Mahanayake added that the need of the hour was to enforce his agenda giving support to end the war.
In his comments to the media after the discussions, Lt. Gen Sarath Fonseka opined that two thirds of the power does not mean capturing of the land alone. Elimination of terrorists is also taken into account. According to intelligence reports, about two thirds of the terrorists power has been eliminated. Elderly people and children are also set to be conscripted. If the battle would continue in the same manner the rest can be achieved as so much have been gained in two years. The Army Chief emphasised that the commitment of the forces is high and the Government was giving the necessary advice and the resources. He added that victory is assured.

SLA is also ready.
LTTE is also seeking avenues to some how win the war by other means, I mean other than the war.
Some one said that they are targeting SLA Commander again now.
That should not be new. |

It is too early to talk about achievements. May be, they have won 1/3 of it.

And two thirds of his coffers are full too, one third more to go, before he leaves the paradise isle laughing all the way to the bank, with the 3 brothers in tow :):):)
They will leave the poor deluded 84% Sinhala who wanted Tamil blood so much, with a broken country and a new neighbour on the island. |

Optimistic? fine... but one needs to be 'realistic' as well!
He knows in his heart that war is gotten stuck. That is the main reason he visited 'Dalada Maligawa in Kandy'!
But, the gods in Dalada Marigawa will not protect him or his troops from the impending WMD shower that VP is getting ready to unleash!

Now, SLA has so many choices.
Pooanaryn, Kilinochchi, ThunukAI/mallavi, Mullativy, EP.
List is too long.
Velu wanted to chase out farmers from MAvil Aru area to complete the peelam.

Are you enjoying how this war 'not for land but to kill LTTE' has now become a war for land inadvertantly and not so much LTTE getting killed :):):) Edited By - Revy - 20 Jul 2008 05:04:13 GMT |

Tamils for justice and the Bruce Fein project seem to be another LTTE (Losing Tamil Teens for EELAM) project.
