Didn't we have a mass-grave episode some 10 years ago under CBK in jaffna already?
Yes you are right. This was supported and confirmed by the SLA soldier corporal Rajapakse who was a convicted criminal in the Krishantirape and murder case. Chemani is within Jaffna which is under the control of SLA. SLA took 6 months to dig in the locations Rajapakse pointed at , altogether 20 bodies were unearthed. If you are an intelligent person you can work out why did SLA want 6 months to begin digging and what did they do within those 6 months. Rajapakse said that SLA would have exhumed the bodies and either buried elsewhere or were burnt, one doesn't know for sure.
What happened to 400 bodies Rajapakse said buried in Chemani? Those questions remain unanswered. We have not come to the end of the world yet. The truth will be out and the history wll decide who the perpetrators of those crimes. |

AnuD,
Lankaenews.com also like Tamilnet does 'good detective work'. You may be able to bury the body but cannot bury the truth
The man abducted by EPDP killed and buried in the office backyard
(Lanka-e-News, July 18, 2008, 5.30 PM) People of Chenkaladi and Eravur areas launched a harthal closing shops and offices against the Ealam People's Democratic Party (EPDP) since this morning (18) as the police unearthed the body of Devadasan Suresh Kumar which was buried in the backyard of Chenkaladi EPDP office.
Suresh Kumar, 38, a father of two children was a foreign employment agent by profession. He was abducted at a fuel station on June 22.
Police probes led to find out that Suresh Kumar had been detained in Chenkaladi EPDP office for a few days. On June 25 police arrested an area leader of EPDP under suspicion and remanded him. Through further investigations, police came to know that Suresh Kumar was killed and his body was buried in the backyard of the EPDP office of Chenkaladi. Police obtained a judiciary order to exhume the body. |
