What appears to be a mass grave has been discovered in eastern Sri Lanka.
Reports from Batticaloa district say that a group digging a well came across the remains of about 20 people, with spent cartridges scattered among them.
There were also lengths of cloth that may have been used to tie up the victims before their death.
Sri Lankan police have collected the evidence and sent it for forensic tests. It is not clear who the dead are or who might have killed them.
In Sri Lanka not a single killing or abduction is investigated
The international community should act immediately to investigate the find and take measures to stop human rights violations. IC always wait as in Kosovo and Sudan to investigate and it's too late when the leaders who are responsible for the mass killings brought to ICC.

SO FAR YESTERDAY 12 SLA WERE KILLED AND 36 injured
let them die for sorry lanka
at this moment I don t think the LTTE should be jubilant about killing 12 SLA. Right now LTTE suffering severe backdrops from several fronts. They should concentrate on coming out with counter measures to face the advancing SLDF. Kind of shows brings out the desperation when you publish and say 12 SLA killed and 36injured. It shows the situation what you re in.

L. Abeyratne, labor counselor at the Sri Lankan Embassy in Saudi Arabia, says 169 runaway maids living in the mission s safe house were waiting for available seats to Colombo. Besides the 169 maids in the embassy-run safe house, around 200 Sri Lankan maids are in the government s detention camp waiting for their turn to go home.
