It is better if he is keep taking singles till 40th over. But it seems that he is already dehydrated.
FL,
The run rate has dropped a little, taking singles is the best option at this stage, inorder to accelerate later.

RG Sharma to Dilshan, no run, dropped by Dhoni. It was outside off stump and Dilshan shapes to cut, deflects it to right of Dhoni who couldn't move his gloves across in time.
Will that be costly?

indeed... I want him to stay there till end of the innings.....
but, want him to play his game..... remember against Bangladesh...after his ton he slow down..... but, when he came back to fire, he couldn't succeed...got out...
if he continues in his way to play... like what he did so far..... he can break the records and bring us home with 300-320 total |

They are telling, temp is somewhere around 33 Celsius. He has been in the wicket now more than half of the total innings. But it seems that he can go for another 10-15 overs. Once he feels tired, he will go over the field again.

FL,
Now it's in the 34th, the run rate has dropped further, no problem as long as these two guys occupy the crease.
Runs can flow from the 43rd or so.

Indian top order bowlers will be back after 40th over again. Let's hope they are sapped too :)) |

I think both Sana & Dilshan are doing the required work.... after 40-42overs they can fire up again..... if Sana could stay till the end, extra bonus for us....
I have notice Shewag & Ojha are really doing a good job in bringing down the run-rate..... this is a good sign for us I beleive..... Murali, Ajanta & Sana can do a great job later if these two can do what they do right now.....
all we need is Vaasi & Dilhara to get some early wickets to set them on back foot |

35.3 Sehwag to Jayasuriya, OUT, Sehwag is the man who does the job for India. Jayasuriya is gone after a superb ton. He went down on his knees to play the slog-sweep but found Ishant at deep midwicket. He is really disappointed as he trudges off, shaking his head. He had slowed down after reaching the ton, as he wanted to stay for the death overs but it hasn't gone according to the plan. India will take it, though.
ST Jayasuriya c I Sharma b Sehwag 125 (114b 9x4 5x6) SR: 109.64
I was afraid of this.....
it happens when Sana doesn't play his game on his way.... slowing down was not a good idea in my view.... as I told earlier.... |

Ramz,
Dilhara is not playing today.
Sanath has done his part, and it is Dilhan's turn to continue with the good work he has done upto now.

I guess, still we have a good chance if we can score 280+ and get few early wickets. Today bowling and fielding must be the key. But Sanath and probably Dilshan will not be fit enough to field well. |
