Why can't the president of Sri Lanka offer an apology to the Tamil victims of numerous racial riots? Leaders of every civilized nation do that. American president apologized to the Japanese, the Canadian Prime minister apologized to the Chinese for head Tax etc. I think the Buddha has failed to teach the magnanimity to the Sinhala Buddhists.

Its realy funny, Tamils here in this forum, trying to teach buddhism and mahawanse to sinhalese....:):))
Thing is, no one has ever read mahawanse or learned buddhism...but showing that they know all....:):))

This is where you lost your plot.
In 6th century there was no Tamil Nationalism. No demand for a separate state etc.
All Sri Lankan Tamils were Sri Lankans. As you know there were Sri Lankan Tamil kings.
We were much wiser those days.

In 6th century, there was no Sinhala Nationalism or the claim of sole Sinhala ownership of the Island. No claim of unitary Sinhala state. You started all that non sense. Funny, now you are blaming the Tamils.
Remember there was no mention of Sinhala in Mahavamsa but there were amble evidence of Damelas, Damela kingdom and 32 Tamil chieftains in Mahavamsa. :))

'83 was not instigated by the sinhalese. it is by political thugs. I think chandrika has done ample apologising and ranil too. even premadasa said he prefers LTTE since it is part of sri lankan people than the IPKF. |

Then is it safe to assume that it was acalculated massacre by the Tamil Race, when Praba's gang massacred ppl in dollar farm, kent farm, anuradhapura, aranthalawa priests and so on..?

The Tamils venerate the saints of all religion but the Tamils don t pray to the Buddha. To the Saivite Tamils of Sri Lanka, The Buddha is just another Hindu saint but not a God, that s all. Some Hindus believe the Buddha as an incarnation of God.

IT is not a calculated massacre like urs.
Do you know how many cases of tamils who were killed are going unreported even now ?
How many % of sinhalese are displaced in their own country ?
Even after 2 yrs, tamils are still struggling in camps.
So the whole world who is massacring whom & how.

The Presidential Secretariat has informed the Ministers sans a few of them to submit resignation letters to the President keeping only one Ministry in their possession.
