You say, agreements were not implemented.
Another way to put that is saying, Velu worked in his interests which is a separate administration only for tamil interests. GOSL worked in GOSL's interests which is sri Lankan.
Probem is govt agreed at the talks and later on they could not implement it citing legal barriers without making any step to change that. then how can ltte trust them and lay down arms and find a final settlement where there is no gurantee of implementation. we have bitter experience of agreements with south were not being implemented since 1948 to solve the ethnic problem. this not personal problem of vp. it the problem with tamil and sinhalese.

Karuna was a pillar to Military achievements at the earlier stages,As
MI was completely or partially exposed during CFA.
But Karuna was well known for his Brutality against all groups.
GOSL will not be able to crown him as CM and karuna will not allow
any reasonable elections in East.Not that it was a Democratic one held.../
Only option is to finish him or separate him for the occasion,where his family matter exposed and sized TMVP for a Election platform.
Sad with few young Muslim Leaders../ they ran into a frame.
But Government scored there goal...Eastern Example to IC.
This is going long way,buckling LTTE supporters and IC peace makers.
when it comes to Fake PP,this was a ragging issue when involved parties made wrong decisions and Exposed Karuna.
dangerously, he was to transit few other capitols before landing to UK,lately this issue made authorities informed by....or people involved.
Hundreds People still Use Fake PPs, a running problem to EU/US and other destinations.
Karuna would have simply use another way to jump,but involves preferred him to return as things melt over.also to satisfy Karuna that,he is not going to be dumped.

These illnesses are heradetary.
If Velu could live not for 05 years just for one year in another Country, he would stop fighting. He lived in Bunkers for whole life. So it is easy to hang only beliefs that he is believing.
