If he was like the ones in Canada, he would be ok for at least 5-6 years. They kept a large portion of the extortion money for themselves. They have paid off houses and a few hundred thousand bucks stashed away..

Karuna & Pillian are good examples to LTTE.
Coexisting and working with Sinhalese/Muslims are the best and only options LTTE have. Sri Lanka was ruled by Sinhalese/Tamil kings. But they were all Sri Lankans.
It does not matter whether the ruler is Tamil or Sinhalese. What matters is whether he is Sri Lankan or not.
LTTE needs to give up Eelam & learn to co-exist with Sinhalese/Muslims as Tamils have done through out history. Sinhalese/Tamils/Muslims have a common future.

If UK is not willing to take action against karuna while he was in their captivity against all those war crimes the AI and Human Rights groups are saying that he has committed, why are you saying that MR wants to ride irespective of IC.
Understand that IC dont want to take any action against karuna because it knows that Prabha is the most dangerous one and karuna could help MR to capture prabha.
