To be very frank..I am tired of hearing this FINAL stage talk..
This is not like chicken and chips or instant soup.
Army is working according to a plan and this is the reason why they opened few fronts and kept attacking while staying at the same place rather than moving.This is a military strategy to occupy LTte carders in Different areas of their controlled land.
General Var Giep A veteran Vietcong general tested this method and took more than a year when he surrounded and attacked the the French military containment situated North of HO chi Ming City called Dien Bienh Phu .
He did the same thing In Da nang.
And also in Cu chi tunnels
Americans and French also thought in the same sarcastic manner as you think right now . when they had no option they attacked civilians .But what was the ultimate result.
I have seen many times in this forum that the goons are warning about a operation coming soon to recapture jaffna . But up to now what LTte gained except dead bodies nothing.

lay siege, cut supplies , reduce numbers and demoralize with small team attacks, terrorize with aerial bombardment, clear out with MBRLs /Arti / tanks, execute with SF and Commandos , consolidate with regualr troops. thats the sequence to go for.. it worked on Thoppigala, worked on Rice Bowl area, and working on Vedithalativ. |

One thing MR said is very true. That is: We must stop the LTTE without leaving it to haunt later generations.
I think that was a typical Politicians speech of capturing the hearts of Sinhala people..(may be for votes and money in pocket)

No worries man. I am fully awake.Batti, Thoppigala, mannar all have fallen.. Terra's had a place to fall back to. Now they are in their home bases. Nothing much to fall back to. We should not rush. Remember that the civilian population is also concentrated in the same areas now. |
