This War will never end..The best way to stop it whether it is within 3 months/year/10 years or even 50 years to get back to the table and start Talking..
You can mark it down the date say july 4th..let us regroup in one year..it will be the same..
U cannot stop hit and run terrorism and LTTE will always keep on doing..Remember MR will be changed as the President one day..
Those who give dates are really stupid..
I know that.
we have been hearing this deadline since ltte was created. it is nothing new to tamil people. |

Sinhalese who lived in predominantly Tamil areas were killed by Tamil thugs and likewise Sinhalese thugs picked on Tamils who lived in predominantly Sinhalese areas as retaliation.
I don't agree with you if you are correct how come still Tamils live in welawatte Watttala Kandy and all the other Sinhla dominant areas
.It is the Tamils who evaded Sinhalese and Muslims from the Tamil areas
Tamils have attacked other communities than others attacked them.

WITH MORE AND MORE CIVILIANS living in North sneaking into government controlled areas, the LTTE has mobilized everyone and everything for what appears to be a 'last stand,' said Strategy Page. Most of the Tamils in the north don't want to be part of that, but opposing the LTTE can get you killed. So those who can, are fleeing, said the leading website on military affairs.
According to Strategy Page most of the LTTE recruits are poorly trained, led largely via threats to themselves and their families and suffering from low morale. Tamils say Military is not the solution.But Tamils took arms to terrorize innocent Sri Lankans.This war will be over by the end of August 2008.Mopping up Tamil Terror remnants my continue for few more months.Negotiating times are over and there is nothing to negotiate.GOSL should continue with it's strategy to eradicate Tamil Terrorism.

I agree for that, thats where the proper solution comes forward and devolution of power is needed.
I dont care if police and land power given to PC or what so ever, but the main things are the ONE COUNTRY , ONE NATION , ONE ARMY ,NAVY, AF , ONE PARLIAMENT , ONE FOREIGN POLICY . and ONE CRICKET TEAM.. and thats for you.. LOL |

yes , AFAICS SLA is deciding the place and time for the war now.
LTTP just have to play with it, the good old days where they had the elemennt of surprise is no more, its with SF now, he decides where and when as he thinks the best..
we have one more year to go as per SF. So dont make a premature assessment about ltte's strength and capabilities. now the ball is with ltte.
yesterday two sla bodies were recovered.

3 weeks ago we were told in the very LNP forum that the Army has only 13 miles to go before they kill or capture VP
Both you and I and most of the people here knows all that talk was just political rhetoric from the army chief. I, for one, am glad that he is finally speaking of a bit of reality and trying to set the expectations low.
Anyone with more than a pea for a brain knows that it will be suicide trying to breach LTTE strongholds in a rush. MR made promises to the punnakku drinking southerners that are unrealistic. And for a while his appointed army chief echoed that.
General Fonseka must feel the heat from his seasoned senior officers in the front lines and he must fear a serious back-lash if he does not change his rhetoric and become realistic like a real military person rather than a political puppet.
I know a lot of guys in the Airforce and the Army.. They are not afraid of the LTTE. They want to do it right. They want to get it done as professionals not as demented maniacs lead by politicians.
One thing MR said is very true. That is: We must stop the LTTE without leaving it to haunt later generations.
