In Sri Lanka there is no room for a Muslim or Tamil to get elected to the top job or powerful post as the society
Amirthalingam would have been the next president if he received enough votes in the 1982 election
Sri lanka is democratic country and any one can contest for the presidential elections but t be the president they need t get sufficient votes.
Lakshman Kathir Or fernandupulloe would have bee the next prime minister if LTTE didn't kill them.
It is the LTTe who don't let Tamils t become the president or PM in SL

this is like Football (soccer) match.
sinhalese team has made two goals and tamil team has made one goal.
first half of the match is over. now the second half of the match is going to be played taht will decide who is going to win the match.:)

In Canada there was French speaking Prime Minsters
In India almost all the leaders of the multicultural/ multi=ethnic communities held the top posts Presidency or Priministership.
In Singapore which has only 4.2% Tamil population, Dr Nathan has been the president for the last 9 years.
These countries are multicultural and treat all of them with respect and justice.
But Sri Lanka is racist and rotten to the core. |
