Like your president you are not recognising those who practice racial equality. How about some expression of appreciation for Gaja who did congratulate all - at the physical level but recognized at the feelings level - the additional investment that a Tamil family would have had to make in such an achievement.

Normally Americans are blind to atrocities committed by their 'friendly' states.
Yes, because they are part of that system. A good example is in this thread when a Tamil separated a Tamil student from other Australians. That indicates that we are part of the problem. Likewise Americans. This is why they need migrants from different countries but have almost equal ambitions at the material level. Then we 'show' them who they are. This reporter would not have gotten as close to the American president or VP as he did to the Sri Lankan one.
