It seems you cant talk the Truth nowhere in Colombo even if you are Central Bank Governor !

Ceylinco Consolidated Chairman Lalith Kotelawala yesterday expressed shock at the statement made by Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal at the Sri Lanka Economic Summit 2008.
What a shocking statement by the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, Mr. Ajith Nivard Cabraal. Firstly, he says that Sri Lanka s economy is on a shaky platform. Secondly, he says that the action taken by the country against terrorism is destabilizing the economy. Thirdly, he says, if the situation is not resolved, Sri Lanka s economy will be burdened with a war for another 30 years, which is directly contradictory to the views of His Excellency the President and the Secretary of Defense.I certainly do not agree with Mr. Nivard Cabraal.

My reply was an idea how lame these people thought of solving problem with Norway to this terror problem.
I think it is necessary to have trust on each other. when compared to other peace talks and ceasefire agreements the last cfa had been holding for around 4 years with the help of Norway. SO it is necessary to get IC help to find a lasting political solution and IC should make sure the agreed solution is being implemented.Our experience in the past is agreements were not implemented fully that leading to failure of peace talks.

Where do you see the LTTE courts help families where they lost children in the middle of the night due to abducteions? You talk like LTTE saved tamil people with their court system that used to exists and you will hear more good things about LTTE from those of who escaped from LTTE strongholds and they will tell you how LTTE treated them as well. Yes, U.S. already have a court system and they do have information of everyone in the country. But in Sri Lanka that LTTE faking the ID's and all these bulls search team is necessary to track whoever is doing what.
Bottomline is would you be rather searched or would rather die travelling a bus that bomb goes off? |

And what better example of a bankrupted business than the business of the Liberation of Tamil Tigers of Eelam Pvt Ltd?
Hounded through out the world, vilified in every country, scorned and despised in their own motherland, this sinking ship called LTTE has suddenly decided to order a fresh coat of paint! Thus the pie in the sky named Tamil Eelam has suddenly metamorphosed in to a tongue twister called Tamizh Eezham . One wonders who is advising Sun God in this re-branding and re-launching of Tamizh Eezham.
More subtly, politics seem to have become less open and accountable.
The reins of power have been drawn into the hands of the three Rajapakse brothers. In a region where democratic dynasties are common, the Rajapakse clan is unusual.
It does not hail from the traditional English-speaking elite that produced Sri Lanka s other presidents. Mahinda, from Hambantota, represents the rural south, the Buddhist provincial bourgeoisie, rather than the urban elite. To offset weak traditional loyalties, he has curried favour by lavish ministerial appointments. Sri Lanka has a huge, 108-strong cabinet.
One minister resigned, saying his ministry should be abolished since it had nothing to do.

Did British people gave you name eelam? They declared independence as Ceylon rather become Sri Lanka. They did not know a jack fruit about eelam. Then funcky looking flour eating prabakaran wanted to call mumbo jumbo eelams.
There is no North called eelam, it is called Sri Lanka whether you accept it or not. If you do not accpet while you spend millions of dollars and give LTTE to fight and die for nothing, for god sake, give that money to japan and build an island in the middle of the pacific ocean called EELAM. Now for god sake let the tamil people leave alone and make your eelam in the sea not inside SRI LANKA because England gave us independence as SRI LANKA not eelam. :)

Now karuna ( traiter) the best friend of Mr.Mhinda and Sarath has arrived this morning at the airport ( I saw him ,little tired but happy ) and received by gouvernment authroities as a due respect for his total help to the gouvernment to fight agist LTTE.
Most probably he will be invitied for special lunch by Mr.Mahinda to day.
Now his life is in the hands of his Mahinda and Sarath. If he comes out , his head will be removed by LTTE forces at any time. |

because we did not ask from british. and we trusted sinhalese and thought we can live as one country but we have been cheated.
our leaders had made historical mistake of accepting TE being included in SL.
