Lankan News Replies

Sri Lankan forces Monday evening arrested around 60 Tamils, most of them who had their place of birth or residence address from Jaffna in their identity cards. Tamil National Alliance parliamentarian from Vanni, Selvam Adaikkalanathan said he had taken up the concerns of the relatives with the authorities.

The arrested Tamils in Vavuniyaa would be released soon, the authorities had promised to the parliamentarian.

Similar arrests have taken place in Chilaapam district on Sunday.

May as well deport them to Tamil Nadu if they are lttte supporters. Better yet the bottom of the sea, if guilty of working with the ltte.

That si all they are good for. Arresting civilians and calling them LTTE.
This is among one of the shameful things any army can do to a minority civilian population.
I suppose only LTTE will be able to teach SLA some manners.
But it is also an advantage to the LTTE. Now more will be volunteering to join the LTTE.At the same time the hatred for the Singlecellese and the SLDF will only grow.

Note: Most of the Tamils in Vavnyia are from Jaffna.

37.6 Muralitharan to Mashrafe Mortaza, OUT, Murali bags the five-for. Mortaza top edged a sweep to Silva at short fine leg.Murali waits for the catch to be taken, claps in delight and turns back to take the cap from Taufel who breaks into a smile himself. Completely mesmerizing stuff from the magician

Why pollute the area?
If they are innocent they should be released and the guilty
ones should be made to demine the mined areas.

GOSL will treat these people with due process. The GoSL can not alienate ordinary Tamils anymore. Keep the civilians on your side you will win the war !
