I saw this. The technology have been there for sometime but commercial usage has been challenging. The key is hydrogen. The extraction of hydrogen. To produce hydrogen on board at a rate matching the demand of the car engine on a commercial scale is the challenge.

Good article. Indeed a good news for all of us and something to be proud as sri lankans. But I have a serious doubt about the efficiency of the so called electric unit which extract Hydrogen out of H2O. What we saw is a H2 cylinder, But we didn't know how much time it took for him to fill that cylinder before he use it. Engines can work with H2, It is an old technology, What would be the key point is the way we extract Hydrogen, and the rate of extraction.

Anyway I wish him best of luck. He can change the world.
